Vanilla ProteinAChino

I’m a huge coffee fan. Period.

I have a Starbucks addiction and that’s why every christmas I get loaded up with starbucks cards from most of my family. In my Paleo efforts to increase my protein intake, reduce my sugar intake and stay “primal” (for the most part), I had to come to a happy medium on coffee and paleo. Not going to lie, pretty darn happy.

The Vanilla ProteinAChino is a frozen coffee drink that is a Frapp and protein shake combined and allows me to achieve what I want. And it tastes good too. Really good.

What you need:

1-1.5 Cups of Coffee Brewed

4 Iced Cubes

1 Scoop Vanilla Protein Powder (Suggest Advocare Muscle Gain or Primal Fuel)

1 Blender Bottle

1 Blender

NIGHT BEFORE: Brew your coffee, place in a heat-to-cool safe cup and store in the fridge overnight (I used a mason jar).

MORNING:

  1. In your blender bottle, mix your vanilla protein with your chilled coffee.
  2. Then pour your coffee protein shake over 4 iced cubes in your blender and blend until frothy.

That’s it. Delicious and simple. It’s ready to serve.

I’m going to try it with chocolate protein powder for mocha (or you can add a scoop of cocoa to your vanilla), Peanut Butter Powder for my sweet tooth and eventually I’m going to find something with caramel. For now, this is delicious and I love it. Definitely going to be a staple for me.

IF YOU DON’T HAVE A BLENDER – you can just pour your coffee protein shake over ice and enjoy. Think of it as a thick vanilla iced coffee.
